Mrs. Shilling has worked hard to be the best teacher she can be. She teaches 3rd grade which is very difficult since it is a testing grade. She keeps her students interested in the content which is a feat in itself. Dawn is always prepared. Not only does she do a great job at teaching her students, she also recently received her Master’s Degree. All this while continuing to teach. She is truly a remarkable woman and an amazing teacher.

The Teacher Appreciation Program and participating school districts Bridgeport ISD, Chico ISD, and Paradise ISD are not affiliated with First National Bank or First National Bank Mortgage. One nominated winner from each participating school district will be selected by a committee comprised of 6 members selected by the Teacher Appreciation Program and not affiliated with First National Bank or the participating school districts. Nominees must be currently employed by one of the above-mentioned school districts. Nominations must be submitted through the website www.firstnationalbankteacherappreciation.com between December 1, 2024, and February 28, 2025, in order to be reviewed by the committee.
